UV laser marking machines utilize their high-energy UV photons to directly destroy the molecular bonds on the surface of materials, causing molecules to detach from the object. This method does not generate high heat, hence it is referred to as cold processing. Products processed using this "cold" light etching technology feature smooth edges and minimal charring. Because it can be focused to a point on the order of submicrons, it enables the processing of delicate components. Even at low pulse energy levels, it can achieve high energy density, effectively facilitating fine processing of materials. Most materials absorb UV light more easily, especially those with strong reflectivity. UV laser marking machines are widely used in industries such as LCD glass, LED substrates, sapphire substrates, semiconductor wafers, FPC flexible circuit boards, consumer electronics, mobile phone components, ceramics, and for fine marking of QR codes, numbers, and letters on these materials, as well as ITO film engraving.
